I'll sum it up:
Weapons: Fiery Dragon Sword
Shield: ehh Anything really
Armor: Usually 1.5k platemail
Skills
Gash
Sever Artery
Frenzy
Healing signet
mending
healing beeze
Healing Hands(only the proffessional ones)
Rebirth
Catch Phrase:
"LLLEEEERRRROOOOYYYY JEEENNNKKKIINNS!"
Famous for:
Aggroing everything on the map and thinking they are in god mode with mending on.
Not saying every wammo is this but this is just the stereotype.
as you can see by my proffession i run this build OFTEN and i upgraded from a fiery dragon sword to icy dragon sword and if im lucky i'll get a fiery gladius sword

general wammo bar from my viewing:
final thrust, sever artery, gash, frenzy, heal sig, mending, healing breeze, rebirth
basically, as an above poster said, a leeroy who gets everyone killed cause he sucks.

I think the first mission in Prophesies with enchant removal is Thunderhead Keep, so a W/Mo could use Mending for most of the campaign. Of course the points needed to keep a constant +3 HP regen would be better used for more damage output, I can see how a new player might think the stereotypical Wammo build is a good one. It's just a shame that the person the OP encountered was such an ass and didn't attempt to explain the problem he had with his build.
EDIT: The pvxwiki W/Mo build linked to was rated as good for GVG. "Generally this character will split to the enemy base with a Ranger and kill NPCs."

It's actually quite a strong template, given that Sword guys don't need their elite - and the current WoH is incredibly strong.
The only thing I really don't like is having my only cancel and run stance on a split Warrior as Enraging, imho Sprint would be a stronger choice in every single way, especially now it's on a 15s recycle.

Wammo is also used to denote a certain play style, ie charging in and agroing everything on screen.
The secondary is imaterial, you could be called a wammo with a war/rit if half your skill bar is from restoration and you blindly agro everything you see.

Why Rebirth? Every wammo with mending is so pro that no one will die! Take Power Attack instead.
To me, Wammo is more of a mentality, not just a term for W/Mo's.

the builds ive seen so far have been "wammo" but i think most w/mo builds look like this
12healing, 9sword,8tactics,4str
mending, healing hands, healing breeze, orison of healing, power attack, shields stance, deadly riposte, riposte
and maybe glads gladiators defense other then healing hands
the w/mo sterotype "i find it to be ture 80% of the time" is how noob they can be, bad builds, lack of team work and full of ego.
the other 20% of w/mos use the same build but have team work, ex wow players or something and still have the "tank" mind set from past games where they were needed cause the other games dont own as much face as GW "go gw " or they are using w/mo for rez or mending touch

Yeah, I had the same experience-late 2005, zoned in, activated Mending, charged my evil twin and killed it right away. Too bad none of the other professions were that easy. Well, actually Nec was pretty easy, I just put on all life sac skills and wanded it to death after it had almost killed itself.

When I'm in a group, It really ticks me off when warriors don't charge into battle. It's like... hurry up, I want to get fighting and I'm not going to run in on my caster. That's the warriors job. Then the warrior takes out a bow and starts pulling the mob into our group... WTF!!! Now I have to spend my time kiting melee instead of dishing damage... just go /Mo and sit in a mob all day so we can actually kill stuff IMO. If you monks cant heal/prot one player while he tanks, it just might now be the warriors problems that you have to worry about, maybe you should be looking in the direction of your back-line.
I'm not saying Wammos are good... Personally i think the bar is terriBAED.. what I am saying is the mentality aint all bad. I prefer to play with people like that.
Also... [skill]mending touch[/skill] = pro

I've been kicked for being a w/mo as well. Though the only monk skill on my bar was a res.
If people are going to kick without so much as asking to see my build I figure I am better off with my heroes.

Well, you really shouldn't be running Monk rez spells on a Warrior... although kicking for that is a bit.... harsh

Frenzy is the best IAS in the game though...:/
Excluding Flail for PvE -- but not everyone likes that.
On topic: The Wammo steriotype is basically someone who goes W/Mo and thinks they're invincible.
